ECONOSPAN STRUCTURES is a western Canada pre-engineered steel
building manufacturer. Any size or style of building can be designed or
custom manufactured. Most common sizes from 30' to 100' are stocked so
delivery can usually be done 2-3 weeks after approval of the drawings.
This is usually, enough time for your foundation to be installed; thus,
keeping your project on track, without slowdown. Our head office is

ECONOSPAN STRUCTURES offers
three different types of building packages. All kits are sold with a
complete set of building drawings , engineer stamped to suit your building
site. These buildings can be added on to in every direction so as to offer
the capability of keeping up with the future growth of your business,
These buildings can be designed to take a 3 ton overhead crane system, for
very little extra cost.
Type 1
Steel-wood building combines the strength of
steel for the columns and trusses with the cost efficiency of wood for the
roof purlins and wall girts to create a sturdy, appealing building for all
applications. This package can be purchased as a complete turn-key or
as a partial kit for the do-it-yourselfer.
The kit consists of:

is simple to put together using the "where there is a hole, put a bolt
theory" which makes a very attractive package for do-it-yourselfers to
install using their own resources. The wood wall girts are normally
at 2' centers horizontally, so the cladding goes on without strapping.
The wood roof purlins are also running horizontally so the roof deck is
applied without strapping. Fiberglass batt insulation is the typical
method of insulating this building. The R value can be equal to the
wood member used for the girt or purlin. The bay spacing is usually
16' or 20' based on the most cost effective span which depends on the snow
load in your area.
Type 2
Steel-steel building: this is a
conventional pre-engineered building style which uses steel wall girts and
steel roof purlins.
We use a truss for the load bearing members at 20' or 25' bay
spacing and our columns are straight wall and not tapered. This adds
to the usable area of your building. This building can be installed
on piles or on a standard foundation.
Type 3
E.P.S. panel building: this building is a
steel frame with a styrofoam shell. The panels are 4" wide by the
height of the building. The panels come in 2" to 10" thick and are
R-4 per inch. The panels are finished with pre-finished metal on
both sides, making a very attractive, well-insulated building. This
building is easy to put together, making it suitable for
self-installation.
The
ECONOSPAN STRUCTURE system is
versatile enough to allow the handy man to install himself or a field
erection crew can be provided. Either way, you will have the best
field support in the industry!
